Michael Böhm, born 1974 in Dortmund, is living and working in Hamburg/Germany.
Since he was a child he always had something to scribble or to paint and it was really hard to see him without any sketching material...

Later on the “classic” arts find support in digital devices like a graphic tablet...

After leaving grammar school successfully he started to study philosophy and linguistics at the Universität Bremen. Finally the following apprenticeship as a media designer at atacama | Software GmbH in Bremen lets his creative hobby officially become his profession - and passion.

With moving house to the media capital Hamburg he is working as 2D and concept artist for browsergames at the Bigpoint GmbH since 2009.

Inspirations are found in (classic) automobiles, music, movies, comics & cartoons (Garfield, Marvel, Tintin and others) and travelling foreign countries(e. g. Scotland, Ireland, USA, China)

Beyond numerous private projects he can call diverse companies as clients - for example Loewe Verlag, cewe Color or the THW. For the Irish Speedfolk Band “Fiddler’s Green” from Erlangen/Germany he made several cover artworks and packaging designs.

The repertoire contains different topics and styles: concepts & scribbles, comics & cartoons, illustrations ( kids’ books and others), logo art, photo retouche & layout.

And back to the start - there is still an outcome of analog work like acrylic paintings on paper or canvas.

Von Kindesbeinen an sieht man ihn nur noch selten ohne Zeichengerät.

Bald werden die klassischen Zeichen- und Malutensilien durch das digitale Grafiktablett ergänzt.

Dem Philosophie- und Linguistikstudium in Bremen folgt eine Ausbildung zum Mediendesigner bei der Bremer atacama | Software GmbH lässt das Hobby endgültig zum Beruf werden.

Mit dem Umzug nach Hamburg folgt 2009 die Anstellung als 2D und Concept Artist für Browsergames bei der Bigpoint GmbH.

Quell der Inspiration sind überwiegend (klassische) Fahrzeuge, Musik, Filme, Comics & Cartoons und Reisen (Schottland, Irland, USA, China u. a.)

Neben zahlreichen Aufträgen für Privatkunden gehören unterschiedlichste Unternehmen und Verlage, wie etwa der Loewe Verlag, cewe Color, das THW zu Michael Böhms Kunden. Für die Erlanger Band “Fiddler’s Green” entstanden mehrere Alben Cover Artworks und Packaging Designs.

Das Repertoire erstreckt sich von Concepts & Scribbles, Comics & Cartoons, über Illustrationen (u. a. für Kinderbücher) & Logo Design bis zu Bildretusche, Satz & Layout.

Und - “wie früher” - es entstehen zwischendurch auch noch Malereien in Acryl - ganz klassisch auf Leinwand und Karton.
